Peacock Herl (Flue) are Iridescent thin Strands of feathers found on the Peacock feather Shaft starting from just below the Eye (Moon).
Each Herl (Flue) is expertly hand plucked and Sized between 4"/6".
The Herl (Flue) is ‘Burnt’ to remove the tiny feather barbs in a layered Tie N Dye design (As shown in the image above) showing just the thin strands of the Herl (Flue) with the feather barbs in spaces.
The Burnt Herl (Flue) is ideal for Fringes, Milliners, Fly Tying etc.
The colors offered are Cream (Bleached White), Red, Purple and Dyed Black.
Additional earthy colors are available for special custom orders. Call for details.
